May 15 – Abstract Submission Deadline

Please submit your information and abstract using this form. If you had previously submitted to the original call, there is an option to indicate that you wish your original submission be retained. Only poster presentations (no oral presentations). If you had submitted an abstract for an oral presentation, please consider modifying to this format. Advisor/supervisor approval via email will be required for new submissions. Student Membership ($15) required for all participants. An upload link will be included in an acceptance emails, promptly following the submission deadline.

May 25 – Poster Files Deadline

Two files are due to upload folder: 1) high-quality .jpeg of poster, maximum dimensions of 48 inches by 36 inches, and 2) .mp4 video file of presentation, maximum 7 minutes in duration. The poster may be broken down into slides for sake of presentation, but only content included on the poster may be included in the slide set. Small demonstrations or props are allowed within the boundaries of what would be feasible for normal, face-to-face poster displays. Each poster will have a unique individual page that holds author information, abstract, jpeg, and presentation video. Visit this site for instructions and assistance on preparing presentation files.

June 1-5 – Viewer Engagement Window

Posters will be live during this viewer engagement window. An announcement will be made via email to the membership. Each poster presenter is expected and judged on their timeliness and ability in responding to comments and questions posed on individual poster pages. Judges will use this rubric to judge asynchronously. Top three finalists will be notified by June 9.

June 11 – AEES Annual Business Meeting (virtual)

Top three finalists must participate by presenting their posters (lightning format) and answer questions live. This will be the basis for final judging. Winners will be announced at the business meeting. Prizes! $250 for First, $150 for Second, and $100 for Third. All winners will be invited to present at the International Ecological Engineering Society meeting in September (virtual meeting).
